Head Voltages L/R Manipulations ?
(Preview)
My CP 64s, while it has been a restoration project, I am now making finite adjustments to get this War Horse of a machine to be set correctly in most every way possible. Reading the Tech manual, it indicated that the voltages L/R for each head are set at the factory and labeled on the individual heads. To m...

Seiko colorpainter 64s vs Hp DJ 9000s
(Preview)
Hello, The colorpainter 64s was a very successful printer and heralded the DJ 9000s. I'm looking at buying either at a good second value (less than $5000). I understand that both are discontinued. I've searched the net for the exact difference between the 2 as I know they are not 100% same. However I'...

HP 9000 chip in a CP64?
(Preview)
Hi,
I just heard something like this: You can use HP's lower-solvent inks in a Seiko CP64 if you install a certain chip.
Anyone have any experience with, or info about, this?
Thanks,
Don

Leaving heads in "Fill Cap" condition
(Preview)
We have several different printers in-house (Dye-sub, solvent, UV flatbed, pigment inkjet), so my 64S may go several days without being used. Is the "Fill Cap" mode the best way for it to sit for a few days at a time?

(Preview)
My yellow head has quit printing. It happened in the space of about two feet while running. I have done many cleans, checks etc, to no avail. It will try to print one or two weak bands then stop alltogether after a strong clean. Any guesses? All help appreciated very much.
