oce taking on the seiko colorpainter........retagging it.........producing their own brand of inks...............and more than likely bundling postershop with it.............
when might this be happening if at all?...................and would this in some way benefit those of us currently using the seiko direct from seiko in reguards to service?....calgraph switch to oce?.......or an EXTENSION OF OUR EXTENDED WARRANTIES!!!!!?????.......
.......i find it hard to believe and it depresses me to think that my seiko is only a 3 year tosser of a machine..........
In las vegas at the sign show, oce is showing a colorpainter with no branding on it. The Oce rep said they are using the Seiko ink. I heard that the chipset is different for the Oce, but its actually seiko ink. I was printing okay, and yes it is bundled with PosterPrint. (seikos choice of rips) but he best part is that it includes a 2 year bumper to bumper (heads) warranty. AND if a machine is causing a user alot of grief, they said they would replace the unit. Now Sieko won't do that.
