Looking for local technician

Hi everyone,

Well confuse, our ColorPainter is still not onboard, and we would really like to give it a chance, before losing our investment.

Our ideal candidate is someone experienced in the 64S or HP 9000, close to NE Oklahoma, willing to give us an initial assesment, and then we go from there to see what needs to be done, replaced, etc. I believe optimistically we may be even able to bring the printheads back on board, should it need to.

Look forward to one or more enthusiastic answers (we do have the maintenance, etc. manuals).

THANKS!!!

Hi Paddy,

Thanks for the feedback.  I have been accumululating bits and pieces of knowledge from this forum and other sources, including a couple of people we have talked with, and am to the point of starting to be brave and patient enough to start really working on the machine.

One problem I have run into, is finding spare parts. We bought some tubing from Seiko, but then I have sent like 3 emails asking for spare parts prices (listing the parts) with no reply. Also another company that was suppossed to have a whole stash of supplies (according to them), afterwards did not want to part with them or sell them to this part of the country.  A bit discouraging. I don't want to have to go all the way to Belgium to get parts! Any ideas? I'll give Seiko another try.
