head capping

I have a problem on a Seiko 64s.
the head does not cap when I shut down.
Also when I send to  do clean, the head
does not cap, and the pumps at the front
of heads does work. Can it be an adjustment
on the control panel. The heads are good.

Hello bonney,
Has anyone tried to adjust the capping position in service mode?
If you leave it @ 0mm the head sometimes wont cap. It has to have an offset.

Hello Niel,
I changed the setting from 0mm
to -4mm and it works perfect. Its a used machine
that i bought and I set up with a bulk ink system
from Solvent Cartridges and Inkwin inks. My other
printer is an Epson GS6000. Must be one of the
best printers available. Cleaning is only once a
month and for 10 minutes. Extremely high resolution,
no banding and faster the the Seiko.
Thanks alot for you knowledgeable advise.

Glad to hear it's working now Bonney, just make sure you get a flashlight and double check those printheads are sitting centered on the caps or you'll start having other "issues".  My Cap setting on my HP 9000 at the moment is sitting @ +1.2mm so your 4mm seems a bit much.

Cheers
Neil
