The Rear Rotary Encoder is constantly, but not in a definitive patern, stating that it is not rotating or malfunctioning. Although no definitive cause or moment in which it occurs can be seen, it does happen more frequenlty at either the beggining (when it advances a bit) or at the end (when it retracts). I Have cleaned the rolls and the encoder itself but it has yielded no results. Any ideas?

Is this a new problem,? Has there been any changes to the machine ?
How is the height of the encoder ? With no material on the machine,... if you lay a piece of hard material ( say card board ) from the top rear roller to the platten against the encoder, then draw a line around the encoder ( trace the arc ) it should be no more than 1/8 to 3/16 or 5mm.
