testing with small pieces of material

Has anyone figured out how to fool the machine with a small piece of paper loaded without the feed sensor objecting to a lack of material? Can you setup the machine to accept a short piece without threading the machine?

Thanks,

John

have you tried blocking the sensor view with a piece of scrap paper or tape? there's no reason why this should not work

Thanks for the reply. After I posted the question I discovered there is an option in the media menu for cut sheets. Now I'm wondering if it's best to load small light rolls on that center bar right underneath the machine. I think it's mostly for running a separate mesh liner if you print with unlined material. The manual for this machine is a little lacking in detail.

that bar underneath the printer is for the dual roll option. so it's certainly a good place to load media on for short runs. it uses a gravity method to pull the media through, as per the older 64s
