HP 9000 - ink droplets

Problem: Slightly static material, attracting small ink droplets, as it passes over printed material. Tends to occur are a normal printhead recovery. Static material tends to cause nozzle drop out. Therefore printhead recoveries are a requirement.

Would raising the printhead carriage resolve this issue?

Any other suggestions

it may but that depends on how static the media is. remember the print quality may change depending on the thickness of your media, as you might end up with even more deflection as the ink drop has further to fall.

keep an eye on your room humidity, its gotta be at least 30% (40% is safe). don't forget that the drier will heat the air around the printer so the humidity will actually be a bit lower right near the printer.
