Ultrasonic cleaning of piezo heads

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum, working as a regular Oce CS6060/CS6100 engineer.

I have a few printheads that are clogged with dried ink in the nozzles.
They are so far not successfully cleaned by either doing strong cleaning several
times, not even by connecting a syringe to the head inlet and flushing it manually
with cap cleaning fluid.
Is there anyone here who has successful experiences about doing ultrasonic cleaning
of piezo print heads?

Regards,

Thomas Raden, Oce Norway AS

we have tried cleaning using the ultrasonic with varied success. sometimes the head returned to life with all nozzles firing but this was limited. most of the time 70% of the nozzles would be ok but the other 30% would come and go, making hte head very inconsistant.

overall we lost faith with this as you could never trust the cleaning to work each and evry time.
