Head issue after 4-7 feet of printing

I have a Seiko 64s and when I do the initial cleaning and nozzle print tests, everything prints great, but after about 3 feet or so, the cyan and lt. cyan both start dropping out, so that when I do another nozzle print test after it starts banding. Print stop

Our printer used to stop somwhere during print (the rip looked like the print went trough OK - no pause nor error). After we upgraded to latest firmware there were no such misbehaviours until recently. Any idea why and how to prevent this? Thanks in advance!

i'm printing on some Sihl 3649 Optilux Backlit Film, very thin material. somehow, the print head unit strikes the edge guard, knocking it away from the material's edge. as it goes back and forth, it knocks the edge guard back and forth.
the first time it happened, the heads deposited big blobs of ink...

Has anybody noticed that when they apply laminate to printed material off of the Seiko that you get a color shift? It is really noticeable on neutral colors. HP 9000s Ink Drying

I have noticed that when I am printing several large posters or banners I start to get banding. When I run the test I find several printheads are clogged. I run the clean cycle and all is well for a while but it will do it again after lots of prints. Any ideas?

I know trisolv paper used to be available at 74 inches- not any longer. Has anyone found paper wider than 72" for solvent printers? I noticed that mactac has 79" vinyl. Is that the only thing available (excluding banner material) that's really wide? Is there any 2m wide media?
