Not getting crisp black lines

I have only had this machine for a month and I'm not getting good service from Oce. I have the Oce 6060 which is similar or the same as the Seiko 64S. I am having problems getting crisp black lines and edges. Is this a problem with all these machines? I can't find out if this is the way the machine is supposed to be or is there a problem with mine. Thanks for any help.

is it just the balck lines that you are having problems with or all coloured lines (4/6 color lines)?


if it's just the balck then the carriag emay need re-aligning, otherwise might be worth checking the calibrations
