seiko 64s magenta stops after 4-5feet

We have a Seiko 64s which has been a good old workhorse but now after 4-5 feet the magenta ink seems to reduce and banding starts.

purples go blue, reds become orange etc.

I know the magenta head is getting old but I don't think thats our problem.

Thinking of fixing the problem with a 25500

hi
What kind of ink you use?

Sounds like ink starvation, have you had the o-rings replaced ever? O-rings and/or dampers may be the culprit.

Exactly, the ink is not good, the damper is clogged, or get somewhere in the air.
You have to double check everything.

I have a problem for 8 months of fading ink. I came to this that all exchanged for new ones.
I have new heads new damper new wires and everything tested fine clean. And all the time the ink disappears. I had TOYO KMS B - total ****!
Printed 2m and began to profiteer, just disappearing ink in the heads!

Now, on Saturday 19/11/2011 I will shed the machine on Bordeaux PRLS
I will write as prints and I hope that I will be really cool print strange because it prints beautifully!
