Handling the feed/take-up spools

For lack of a better word (spools), does anyone have any tricks to handling the large reels that hold the vinyl and do the take-up?

you can do this on your own by dropping the wheel end off 1st. even saying that, if the roll of substrate that you load is a large one then 2 people are a must.

apart from that there's not really much you can play with because of the overall size.

what sorts of tricks were you thinking of? more short-cuts?

A friend of mine with a Vutek uses an ATV motorcycle jack to lift the rolls onto the machine. I know Sears sells one: $169 I've also seen them for under $100US sometimes.

Yes, I was thinking of a couple of "dolly's" on wheels where the bar could be set and rolled around.  Not sure what would work best- I guess poking around at homedepot might get me some ideas.
