I auto-updated my software on 1-18-06 with the latest software update from Onyx and had major issues with my printer! The printer would print let's say 5- 30"x 60" banners then park in the capping station and stay there, while the info center said "Printing". When you tried to stop printing there was NO response from the printer or computer. Make a long story short I wasted all day trouble shooting the problem and just "rolled back" the update to 13910 Rev2 from 14010 Rev2. So the moral of the story is "Dont use the latest update" oh and I have the Seiko 100S printer.
this sounds like the ealry version issues onyx used to have, with just dropping files and hanging as it wished. this was all cured but apparantly it's now all back. i thnik the issue was that when the printer goes into a cleaning cycle, it suspends the scsi port. onyx then sees this as a failure and goes awol. rips like coloragte, see the port as suspended and keeps pinging it until normal service is resumed and carries on printing. onyx shuts down and goes home..
