Material waste

Does anyone know why some of the time when you send a job to the printer it rolls out about a yard of material?
This only happens about 50% of the time. I have to cancel the job roll back the material resend yadda yadda. Seriously a pain.

Any way I can stop it from doing this?

new one on me. the obvious one is white space on the image. otherwise what settings are you using in the media entry set-ups?

I know what you are talking about. This seems to happen the most when the machine has been idle for a while. I think that it has something to do with the machine trying to heat the material up before printing. I haven't really found a way around this, just have to watch it when your heaters are way below target.

strange to say the least. it can't be the media being heated as this just runs the "preheat" message. are you running the condition media setting?

Yes the "condition pass" was set to 1 hour. This sounds like something like what was happening.
Except it happened maybe once every 5 times and it would roll out about 3 feet of material.
I turned this feature off, so hopefully this action will stop.
Thanks for the info!
