We are thinking of switching from 6 color to 4 color printing on our 100S, but are worried about light head getting clogged. Is this possible, because, as i understood, LM and LC heads are only firing when printing with color stripe? Anyone using this feature?
I don't understand what advantage there would be in doing that. To eliminate the light inks so as to save money on ink? The savings would be minor and the potential trouble with heads seems likely. If you want to save money on ink why buy a printer that has some of the most costly ink around. The 100" vutek prints much faster and the ink is much cheaper but the droplet size is larger and the prints are more coarse. There is a drastic difference in ink cost though.
